BIS - Blister Pak Inspection System
The blister pack color inspection system is equipped with a high speed, high resolution (1300 x 1030) color camera. The inspection system can detect even the smallest errors of form deflections at full production speed. It is also capable one or more different types of colored products and minute color changes.
The apparatus can be mounted on any type of packaging machine with intermittent or continuous web movements. All form and type of blister products can be inspected such as various types of tablets, hard / soft gelatin capsules, etc. packed in transparent, opaque, colored PVC foil and Aluminum foil.
Blister Pack Color Inspection System can detect the following situations:
- Surface of the Product
- Missing Product (Empty Pocket)
- Empty Blister
- Form of Product (Crushed, Powdered or Solid)
- Foreign Objects (Fragments)
- Unwanted Product or Fragment outside the Pocket
- Incorrect positioning of the Product
- Color of the Product (Correct or Wrong product in the Blister)
High resolution translates into detecting minutest defects of size, shape and dimensions. This enables precise control over the quality of the product.
Even minute black spots on tablets / capsules can be detected.
The state-of-the-art color recognition capability assures right product goes in the correct blister. Even shade variations are easily detected by the system.
Sequential Teach: The vision system learns
from a sequence of multiple images to obtain
the best tolerance settings and compensate for
runtime variations. Intelligent software
significantly reduces the teach time by auto
extraction of information.
The software can be customized rapidly for individual customer needs and personalized
report generation is also a possibility.
Web connectivity - Capable of Remote training, assistance and monitoring over the
Security: Different access levels for operator, supervisor and JEKSON are enabled.
Once the system has learned the new blister product, it is stored and validated.
Afterwards, all the operator has to do is to select the correct product to start the
inspection run. A special calibration procedure ensures that the validated configurations
stay memorized, even if crucial parts are replaced.
The system considers every blister as 'bad' until proven good. This means that a
complete and rigorous procedure has to be followed before a blister can be considered
'good'. The system keeps records of the number of inspected blisters as well as the
nature of the detected mistakes and the number of times they appear.
